When moving with AAA Heritage Movers we ask that all appliances are emptied and cleaned. We suggest you use your own coolers to transport your perishable items.
You can move all of your non-perishables such as canned goods, coffee and dry food like rice, beans and pasta. You can have these boxed and transported just as you would any other item in your house. Make sure you label these boxes appropriately to ensure that they will go straight to the pantry in your new home. If you are moving locally and you want to move the food in your freezer and in your
refrigerator, it is a good idea to put it in an ice cooler and transport it in your own vehicle. If you are traveling far, you may want to give away your frozen goods or consume them before the move.
It is typically not recommended to move food to a foreign country, canned or otherwise, since that may delay your belongings at customs and may cause your shipment to be opened or confiscated.
